I think that I'm gonna pick up the engine oil bypass kit so I don't spend too much on the oil function. oil's overrated anyway right? oh and the radiatior insulator too...

I think Bruins needs some of those brass balls for his rig...anyone want to pitch in for a christmas gift???

Dude, it's been proven by numerous clinical trials that Summit Racing stickers don't work on Jeeps. They're specifically for baby Broncos. JEGS stickers are for jeeps. Also, you can't just lay the Jegs sticker over the Summit one. It will advance the timing too much and it will ping. Scrape off the Summit sticker and put the Jegs one in place of it. That should work - as long as it's not touching any other stickers.

I had both Jegs and Summit on mine, and your right, it was detonating. I figured maybe I'd get a smaller HKS and Greddy stickers to back the boost off a little, but it didn't help. I had to take the Summit sticker off, but I put on a NOS sticker so that should make up for the reduction in boost. Don't forget anything chrome or polished also adds power. I go by the general rule of 15 rwhp per 2 square feet of chrome. That's what it usually works out to be.

Just remember

Just remember to always check to make sure the canooter valve is actuating the wobble shaft properly. Also make sure that you check the blinker fluid, if it is low, it will make turning slower. If you really want to go fast=I have seen the big and pretty 20" wheels on Wranglers, that has to increase the speed considerably.

Bananas! Shove bananas in the filler neck of the valve cover. That quiet it right down.

I usually just dump a quart or so of sand into the oil filler, usually just sands the knock away, like magic. If that doesn't work, I usually go up in size a little and try some gravel to knock all that stuff inside loose.

That's how I ported my head, and thats how I bored my motor out. Whoever says you can't is just scared of the power that it ends up making.

I have to give credit to my high school shop teacher for the bannana thing. He said he was selling a car and the rear end was going out, so he shoved bannanas in it to quiet it down for the sale. After that...............who knows what happened.
