Nope but if it did they better never let me find out who did it.

Yeah, I've been looking for hard doors, and maybe a hard top if I can find a good enough deal. Problem is, I'm just about to drop $1500 on a new motor and clutch, so funds are low! Ha ha

Yeah, I'm a pretty nice guy, and normally like to solve things rationally, but if I catch the person that did this, they will be in bad shape for a while. F-ing with someones vehicle is crossing a line in a big way, in my opinion!

Thanks! Thing is, I actually had a couple expensive tools in there and some personal info. I accidentally fell asleep on the couch and didn't unload it! I suppose that makes me a pretty lucky guy in the end My favorite saying is: When things decided to bad, they went good! Ha ha

Oh that sucks man! Sorry to hear it. I'll never understand how people rationalize that in their head. Hope you catch them!

Has not happened to me yet, the last guy to break into my jeep had the courtesy to unzip my windows before he rummaged through my basically empty interior. I wasn't even that mad, just a part of the Jeep life I guess.

I'm the same as most of you, I don't keep anything worth value in my jeep. Maybe a phone charger and a lighter at most. I'm more worried with my soft top on that someone will steal my full doors.

I never thought about that... Someone could walk away with them in seconds. I can't believe that's not a bigger issue.

Right now the hot commodities for theives are catalytic converters, truck tailgates and jeep doors. Do yourselves a favor. 1st call your insurance agent and have your comprehensive dropped to 0 deductible (cost me about 20 more per year). Then lock your doors. This way if windows/top are slashed, replacements cost you nothing and having your doors locked makes it a lot harder for someone to steal them.

New upper skins are $120 a pair.
The role of tape I used was six bucks and has held up well in the elements.
Surprised that it was labeled 'Clear'. I sure can't see thru it.

Ha ha ha! I probably won't replace the skin till I move out of the area. I'm not shooting for aesthetics here! Ha ha

yup I had my back window cut so someone could steal a textbook I had in the back of my jeep. It was the end of the semester, I suppose they stole it to re-sell to the book store. I fixed mine with clear silicone, but it was goopy and didnt look good, I think I could have made it look better if I had taken my time.

I've only had stuff taken from my jeep with no top or doors on, I guess under my seat wasnt a good enough hiding spot for a ratchet set.

Lame! I don't imagine they could get that much for it... People suck!

Yeah, I've been thinking of building a locking tool box for the rear. Something robust, like out of 3/16 hot roll plate. I have to have my tools, I just feel naked without em!

That sucks, man. I've never had it happen to me, but like we've all said here: my doors are never locked, and there is not much of value inside. A few years ago, I got a really nice head unit, drove around all summer with the top and doors off...nobody touched the thing. As soon as I buttoned her up in the fall, some a-hole decided to steal the stereo. Luckily, they were decent enough to unzip the back window and crawl over the seats. What they weren't so kind about was the way the slashed all the wires behind the radio...I never did replace it, it wouldn't have worth the time or money. Just keep your head up, and keep on Jeepin on.

That sucks dude! Luckily I have a a super cheap head unit that just looks outdated. I don't think even a tweaker would see any value in it. ha ha

I think I'm just going to fab my own. It's a pretty simple setup. I did however just order a hood lock

I guess locking the hinges; hood; solid doors; and a cheap stereo no one wants.. ?? lol..
forgot locking lug nuts on rims and on spare..
I think that the removable winch is in my future also and an alarm system..
just sucks that instead of doing upgrades for performance, or longevity, or even looks... safety of my parts and the belongings in the interior.... just kidding but.. how about the idea of packing the stereo with c4 or what ever the name is of explosives used in booby traps.. lol.. or at least some tracking device .. so you can find the items and the person who needs to give it back with an apology or something..
dk
