don't do these things to your jeep

It really pains me to see horrible things done to jeeps, how about a "as polite as can be" discussion about them. Without flaming owners as much as possible.

What made me think of this, as you'll see on my ride home, behind a fellow jeeper, was a flareless jeep, with much too small tires, on a BL and way too much back spacing. It just looked, IMO, bad. Not to mention the children inside that seemed, i really hope they weren't, unrestrained, not belted in.

If the first few people think this sort is a terrible idea, please delete it, or tell me how to delete it. I don't wanna cause anyone any trouble.

The cropped cellphone pic just doesn't show the justice.

I say to each their own. If all of our jeeps looked alike then what would the point of aftermarket parts be? Reminds me of the argument we have every summer at work. I ride a Goldwing. Why? I like the way they look and like how quite it is. Others in the office ride Harleys. I cant stand a loud bike and what it has done to the image of the rest of us bikers. BUT...to each their own, I just choose not to go on group rides with them. They dont like my sewing machine as they call it..to each their own, dont recall inviting them to ride with me

As for the kids not wearing seatbelts. That is another topic all together and I am a firm believer that some people should just not breed.

I'm with tommy...some things just shouldnt be done...there was a thread posted a while back with a bunch of stuff in it, might have to dig it up when i get home from work.

As for jay...i agree about the loud bikes haha. I ride a sportbike (yamaha r6) and have discussions all the time with "not a real bike" vs "fat slow harley" etc etc...

One thing about the loud harleys though...a friend of mine had one and i was riding with him. I turned to him and said how annoying it was because it was so loud and he told me "i agree with you, but its like clicking a pen when you're at your desk...if you're not the one clicking, it pisses you off...but if you're the one doin it it doesnt bother you at all"

Saw this driving on the highway the other day. Great hunting rig, however, looks kinda out of place on the highway. My favorite part is the log bumpers and the bamboo twine roof rack.

Referring to the 1st pic in this thread. Those could be his street tires and he might have 37" crawlers sitting in his garage.

Yikes. Lesson to all, never let your daughter near the jeep with a sea life BeDazzler kit.

"Sewing Machine" -- I haven't heard that since about 1965 -- when I was riding a Honda Hawk. Some things never die.

Def doubt 37"'s it only had a small body lift and totally stock. Besides missing flares. I'm not trashing it, IF flares are on the way in the mail or what not. But i had the feeling he did the look intentionally. To each their own, but don't take off flares and add spacers to stick your wheels out and get that "look" dude probably hates the way my jeep looks, and that's ok.
