doomsday preppers fakes a jeep wrangler

does anyone watch the show called doomsday preppers where they show different people who are prepping for situations ect...

well tonights episode showed a family with a jeep wrangler TJ. The guy was using it to pull a trailer and to transport his family to their secret Bug Out location.

well for the show they drove the jeep with the trailer to the desert to do some shooting and on the drive there it kept showing the TJ with the trailor from the outside driving but when it cut into the vehicle to show the people inside the jeep it was a compleatly different car. they kept showing outside views of them driving along in the TJ then showed inside vehicle views of them in a spacious 4 door SUV of some kind. it completely ruined the show for me. Im guessing it was because they couldn't fit them all inside with a camera man

this VERY briefly shows what im talking about, they pull out with the tj and shows them hopping into a 4 door car.

Have you seen the actual show? Do they have/drive another vehicle?
If not... You are correct.
But I am thinking they might use a couple vehicles and the clip just doesn't show it.

From that clip I would say that guy is all talk no action. Injures/cuts his thumb and passes out? Yeah he's prepared for the "total destruction of the power grid."

I liked the one who thought she could hike out of Houston. Everyone knows the highest concentration of zombies will be in the cities . ( ok, highest concentration of bad guys too).

probably what i say about every reality show... Good Idea, bad execution of it... they never make a good show from a good idea... from the preview, it looks terrible. But when I read your post, I thought WOW i bet that show is good haha

Hahah, yeah, he put his damned thumb over the barrel and shot it off! The show made out like the gun had exploded or something, but towards the end he makes the comment to never put any part of your body in front of the barrel! What a dummy!

if you watch the episode they blatantly try to make you think they are in the wrangler. like so badly its bad. it shows them all hopping out of the 4 door SUV from the inside then quickly shoots to them crawling out of the jeep.

yeah the guy shot his dang thumb off, the pictures from surgery were pretty hardcore.
and as for the lady who is going to bug in to her apartment for 3 weeks, then hike out of the city for miles then get to her Bug out truck thats not stolen or ruined after 3 weeks of zombies is dreaming.

First rule about reality shows.... They are not reality... My best friend was on one and when they saw him in person the producer said he needed to rewrite his character...just look at sons of guns, his shop makes crap, and what he does make that looks good you have been able to buy for the past 5 years. They are all made up crap shows.

On a side note... wouldn't you want a hardtop if its a "bug out" vehicle? It would seem to repel zombies a llittle easier if needed.

for me, the term zombie can just be any type of SHTF. natural disasters, political conflict, loss of resources (oil, food, or electricity) anything they are ALL zombies.

This is the one and only one I've watched and thought she was a joke. They kept saying how "in-shape" and prepared she was and then do a montage of her workout and she was terrible. Then she couldnt even hike her planned route, and kept saying, wow this 40lb backpack is heavy. No shit, when your hiking 6 miles. The only respectful thing I got out of that show was at the end when they said she joined the military to help her prepare. The light bulb must have went on cause I was yelling that at the t.v. the hour long.

People, if you want to learn survival at its best, JOIN THE MILITARY!!! This coming from a guy who has not served so im not a biased person.

Exactly, if these types of people are the only ones left, we are all screwed anyway.

Kinda makes you wish for Armageddon just to know that it'll consume reality shows and their contestants in the first minutes. Mostly through self-inflicted stupidity.

Does it seem just a little odd that these people who are so insane over being prepared for a disaster scenario (and their preparedness and actual survivability is highly questionable), would go on a TV show to let all their friends and neighbors know exactly how many and what kind of stocks they have, where they are, and so on? Good luck fighting off a mob when they come to take what they know you have.
The less people know, the better.

I F*ing HATE "reality" shows. The only part of one I watched was the one where they had a guy they told girls was a millionaire, but he was actually a construction worker. I watched the last episode to see the gold diggers reaction. Then I was extremely pissed that they actually gave them a million dollars. They ruined it!

All of them are scripted and faked. I can't stand them.

I finally saw this show and the episode in question. These people are idiots. If he is so worried about bugging out after an EMP strike, how does he expect to drive his Wrangler?

I saw the same show. Funny how the Dad was timing everything they did. He kept yelling hurry, hurry, using a stopwatch. When they got there I'm sure he said, grab your firearms kids & get shooting NOW!! I laughed when the kids were blasting away & then the Dad blew his thumb off.
The funny thing is that the network was so hard up for material that they still aired the retarded episode, lol.

Oh, & can I say this, I hope Zombies do exist in the future. There just ain't that many prarrie dogs around any more.
