Door surrounds?

I'm looking for some for my Jeep Sahara and I've seen some for CJs.
If I bought a pair that didn't say, "specifically for a Sahara"
would that mean they wouldn't work for mine?

Basically, do all surrounds work for all Wranglers?

Just look for TJ door surrounds, should all be the same. YJ's don't have them.

To answer you question, kg4kpg is correct, sahara makes no difference, just model. However...FWIW, a good buddy of mine with a 98 TJ was just over here yesterday with new windows and surrounds from a 04 TJ. We installed all. The surrounds and windows fit but were very very tight and then when we closed the hard doors we found that they barely met the surround and there was a large 1/2" gap unlike his '98 surrounds. We swapped on the '98 surrounds and they closed the gap but the windows would no longer stretch far enough to reach the lip on the surround w/o pulled the sail panel to far to the side. Just FYI. May be just his jeep or just those parts.

Now that I think about it, you're right, there is some difference because I have a 2000 with the correct surrouds and I have doors from an '05 that just don't seal right. I don't have water flowing in but you can see gaps and they fit real tight on the back edge. I'm planning on sliders later this year so I'm not too worried about it. Doors off for summer anyway.

Yup. And the ebayer is correct also. Line of demarkation is 97-02 & 03-06. Nobody, including Bestop and Jeep/Mopar accessories can explain the exact differences in the year model separation. The stock answer is "the material" (when diamond/sailcloth was introduced). Appears it's one of those mysteries of The Island that the Oceanic 815 still hasn't figured out yet and Ben won't tell us the truth.
