driveshaft question

Hi people. I have simple question. My '81 CJ7 needs new front and rear driveshafts....any chance the shafts from an '89 Cherokee will work? I'm thinking not, being the Cherokee has a longer body. But maybe the front shaft?

I dunno. Maybe it's because I have a Cherokee sitting in my driveway. With a shaft that could possibly work if some one answered my question instead of asking another, potentially saving me $300 or more if it could work. But tell you what guy, why don't you give me $300 and I'll turn around and get a new shaft? Thanks for the non-help.
