Last weekend I replaced the wheel bearings on my excursion trailer. I also installed bearing buddies, and to my dismay my jeep "Moab" rims would not fit over the bearing buds.. I shimmed the wheels out 1/8" with some grade 8 washers for a perfect fit... I'd never washer wheels out on any live axles, but I don't think spacing out trailer wheels is a disaster waiting to happen. The 1 ton trailer never sees more than 300lbs, total weight, off road, loaded with camping gear. Any thoughts??
