eBay front TJ bumper?

Anyone ever get one of these? JEEP WRANGLER TJ YJ SRC SRS Front Bumper 87-06 ROCK NEW | eBay

They are cheap and thats the kind of bumper i want. I don't want it to just be a piece of junk and fall apart. I know the old saying, you get what you pay for, just hope its not the case.

I've been looking at the same bumper for mine. If you do pick it up let me know how you like it and post some pics.

Now that I look at it again, that first pic has the smittybilt sticker on it. I know they make this style cause I've looked at them and they are like 300ish and my sisters bf who got me jeepin has the same smittybilt one. So I'm not sure if its an imatation and they just used that pic or they are smittybilt ones that they bought, selling cheap without a brand name. But so far the smittybilt one he has he likes so we'll see.

The JKU bumper is $250 which is a great price and might actually make me pull the trigger.

It won't be until the week of the 15th though. If you buy this over the weekend, and install I am EXTREMELY curious on how it goes and the quality of.

Maybe we should contact the seller for more pictures, installation instructions, or even photos of it on a jeep?

Don't you already want that?

I love the look of that front bumper so if its at least a fair piece for the cost, I am definitely buying one.

Guss needs something new to keep him and me happy.

Well ya! But with me I don't buy much, just want a lot, then I buy one thing and say F it and buy everything else at once hah I still need to line the tub and paint it

Oh, that ebay guy replied and he said "comes from the same china factory like those name brand" so I'm probubly just guna go for it. I have a feeling that the bumper will be fine, just the black coating will be crap and flake off but no big deal, just wire wheel and some undercoat and it good to go

I have these bumpers from the exact same seller...also the nerf bars (not installed yet)....The quality is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!! You can see more images on a jeep in my garage. Actually the coating is pretty good........and yes you will want the rear one too (that seller has a package deal for the both that you can't beat!).......BOTH LOOK SWEET!!! All are SOLID...although, I'd recommend having the nerf bars welded on (I couldn't even figure out what the hardware they sent could possibly be for) and yes... you may want to give some extra texture coat to the weld joints. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Now dutch, you say you have the rear one but do you have the one with the tire carrier? Cause I wana know how well it stays latched with their design. My sisters bf has a tire carrier but it opened up 3 times when we went out muddin but its a little different. I just don't want it coming open constantly.

This design won't let the carrier open unless you raise the handle on the bottom left hand side full 45 degrees. I'll get you a closer pick of the mechanism.

Well.......I tried to post an image in my profile, but it went to the Gallery. If you look under YJ images, you'll be able to see how it works. It would take a minor miracle to open by itself. In answer to your question Arpd3, it sticks out 19" from the face of the grill, which does make it a bit trickier to raise the hood.

200 for a few pieces of thin wall tube stuck together seems kinda over priced I only paid 70 for my front bumper and I can run a winch on it. i paid a little less then what he lists them for on his website because he was doing a cage in my rig as well

Jeepᆴ Wrangler Front Bumper Mounting Kit

no tubes to bend or break

Its cheaper but how is that bumper going to stop small trees from breaking my headlights when I and going threw the woods runnin them over? Its not just that reason too, I think my bumper adds more of an aggressive, woodsy look which I want. Everyone has different reasons for the upgrades they choose

And one more thing, checked the tracking for my bumper and it says Saturday but from my experiences with fedex, it comes a day sooner so it might be here Friday but ether way, I should be installing a bumper this weekend

I have one along with the matching rear that has the tire carrier. Got it from the same guy. I have had no problems with either except for the powder coat is kinda crappy but who cares. I added rectangle KCs to the top tabs but the side ones will probably get round due to clearance. I like it and it has held up well for the past 4 months.
Without winch.

With winch

Rear

Cant beat the free shipping on them either. Just make sure you double check for nicks and scratches. My box came in all torn up but the thing was also bubble wrapped and had a couple nicks where the D rings were. No Smittybuilt sticker on mine but then I would have pulled it off anyway.

LOL.......my packaging was tore up too! Definately look for damage, but I think the damage was from the inside out. It sounds like Ellenberger is gonna put it to the test anyhow. Hey Diverdown87. Did you figure out what the extra piece is for on the top of the tire carrier? I don't have the spare mounted yet so it just clanks around when you go down the road. Here's a better look at the mechinism.
