I've been a motorcycle rider since I was a kid. We use the wave, too. If it doesn't get returned, well...

If you see a Jeep, give em a wave. Up to them whether or not they pick up the clue phone and wave back.

I had a 97' TJ in HS that I had to get rid of before college and waved all the time, and now that I graduated I got back into Jeeps with my 93' YJ Sahara and when I got my first wave in I was hooked again,my GF now waves too I bet other Jeepers are loving seeing a double Jeep wave probably makes someone's day lol.

My friend's son said he was in a Mustang (90's) model. The kid has a Jeep too and forgot he wasn't in it. Waved at a Jeep and the Jeep flipped him off. LMAO

Got my first Wrangler wave returned today! So cool it is!
Somehow, it seemed to be more common when I was driving my CJ a lot about 10 years ago. Maybe there were just less Jeeps on the road back then and a greater percentage that knew about the wave.

I downloaded the Jeep Wave iPhone app for my kids to play. I usually do the 2-4 fingers lift off the steering wheel and get about half or less returned.

I get a large number of waves from YJ, TJ, and LJ drivers in my area. I just got my first
return wave from Jk owner the other day. It really is a good feeling to have that camaraderie.

Speaking of camaraderie...Anyone know of any get togethers in Maryland?

I do the "left turn signal" wave now...Tends to get a happier response! And I think the people behind me are envious of the camaraderie Jeepers have.

I am surprised that XJ owners do not wave...I have owned three and find them to be in a class by themselves but alas...No waves.

Congrats on your new Wrangler! Nice color! If you don't get a wave just keep on waving. I actually got a wave from a guy driving the Mercedes suv jeep looking truck-- the other day. He must have been a previous Jeep owner

I love the wave. I am on my third TJ and most of the time I wave at a JK I dont get a wave back. sometimes I think is because they are new and they don't really know about the wave. but it sure is good to get a wave back.

It's ok! We need more girls on our side!

I don't know if I don't get waves because I'm a girl or because I'm in a JK. Oh well. I don't care. I NEVER get waves from other girls. I just roll my eyes and shake my head. I had one day that I got a TON of waves. Hoping for more today. It's supposed to be nice and I plan on being topless!

Oh that reminds me of a funny story! Was at a car show this weekend with hubby and one of his buddies. I said I could go topless this week cause it's going to be nice. He goes "I don't think I like this. You get me all excited when you say you're going topless and then I remember. Damn Jeep!" LOL

Oh and I've wanted a Jeep since I was about 25. Just got one finally at 39. Just in time for my mid-life crisis right? LMAO

I'm in the same boat-- grew up with them as a little girl always dreamed of having my own and my husband and I recently had fun creating bucket lists to celebrate our upcoming midlife crises-- and a Jeep Wrangler was on my list! I'm the happiest Jeep girl ever!! Why didn't I do this earlier?? Love it!!

Around me, NW Indiana, Chicago area, seems like 90% return a wave or wave first no matter what I'm driving, my 05 or 11. Even the women wave back, most around here know.
