You'd just have to hold one hand out the side at all times in Moab. Next it will be

Love your sig btw. Check mine out, lol.

I think 4 years w/o a pres wouldn't be as destructive as the last 4. Help us all if he stays in.

I live in a pretty privileged area and most of the Wranglers around here wont ever see the end of the pavement or are just mall crawlers. I gave up on the wave because I was tired of getting annoyed looks from the d**** or rich moms driving their Jeep. The second I get out of town though the wave comes out to every Jeep that passes me by, JK's too, after all I drive an O7 Jk and I always get one in return. My girlfriend even started to wave for me while I drive

We got waves from people on the same side of the highway as us yesterday while coming back from my parents' house...

FWIW, they ain't rich mommies passing by. While $30,000+ is pretty damned expensive, it's not "rich."

You're being kind of judgmental here. When I get my Jeep, it may never be used to off-road. Looking at some of the things that people do, it honestly makes me nervous. But, I'll still wave.

If not having a return wave annoys you that badly, you may want to reassess some things.

It just blows my mind away that some wrangler owners would even CONSIDER prejudicing against other wrangler owners based on the year their jeep was built, rather than understanding that the person behind the wheel of those jeeps may or may not have any clue about the "wave". That, in of itself, is very, VERY "un-jeep".

Just chill out and wave if you feel like waving!

There are a lot of people out there who aren't as intelligent as we are, so don't waste your time trying to figure it out...

Really. What's up with that? I have a JK because it's my first jeep and it's the model that's out now where I can buy used with lower miles...because I'm NOT someone who has money to buy new. I drive a lot and it's my daily driver, so I CAN'T be going nuts with it. As soon as I can afford stuff I do it, and it's already looking like a badass ride. I love it! By the way, it's been off-road...albeit beginner trails. So you can take your "rank" and shove it up your a$@ with all the other delusions in your head.

Ok, did you actually see who ConArtist was refering to with his post? It was a TJ driver who was slamming anything newer than a TJ(meaning JK). ConArtist has a JK, so why would he slam other JK's just like his own? Think about it......

Lilgreen, where at in Illinois are you?

I'm in Schaumburg. Was out this weekend and other open-topped jeepers were waving. I'm all for waving back.

I think a little part of why JK's don't get the wave back is because us older gen feel they need to earn their strips. Wranglers are grungy tough animals and the JKs are just a little too pretty to fit in just yet

Just picked up our new 12 Friday. While out for a ride Saturday, letting the wife drive, I had to inform her of the wave. She was used to it from riding the harley but didn't know it applied to jeeps. Does now.

I got countless waves from all generations of Jeeps while traveling down a one-lane road this past Saturday. Most people aren't out looking for other Jeeps to wave to but they'll wave if they see you.

My husband has a TJ- he gets waves way more frequently than i do in my new JK and you don't see me crying myself to sleep over it. Also, doesn't mean I'll stop waving can we all just enjoy the fact that we grew up to own some of the coolest toys ever made?

I have noticed that to where I live. All the jeepers that have older jeeps damn near jump out the side to wave. All the newer owners don't even bother looking at you. I just want to smack em! LOL JK

I think if you're far back enough and throw a wave, people are more likely to respond. Sometimes if I don't wave until the other Jeep is real close, it doesn't even give the owner a chance to wave.

My neighbor across the street has a 2011 JKUCOD and I just discovered a real nice JKU at the top of the hill in our neighborhood. I've seen her a few times while in passing in and out of the neighborhood and we exchange waves. It's real nice; Rescue Green with a lift and black 35s.

I got my first wave the first day I drove my new Jeep and it made me feel like an official member to this exclusive club, very cool indeed! But if I hadn't read about the wave phenomenon and Jeep owners beforehand I would have been clueless and seemed rude. I assume the non wavers are unaware as I was or just tired of waving, there are a lot of Jeeps in my town, which I notice more now of course since I have one of my own. I am loving it!
