Just curious as to why you would even begin to care what he does with his Jeep. People buy Jeeps for all different purposes. No matter the terrain, they're popular vehicles. They rock, regardless if you're on asphalt, sand, in mud, or crawling rocks.

I'm confused. What's a soccer jeep? Is that like the altitude is a basketball jeep?

Nothin' wrong with soccermom Jeeps. Everybody uses his/her Jeep for different purposes. Since when have Jeeps been manufactured with only going offroad in mind? There are tons of people who just love to ride down the street with their doors and top removed, especially near beaches. It's doubtful many people who drive Jeeps in Florida are climbing mountains...

Umm, you didn't hit a nerve. I don't play soccer, and I surely won't ever be a mom. If I do become a mom, I sure ain't sharin' the riches!

I live in Boca Raton and commute to Ft Lauderdale daily.

Most Jeeps around here are just Hummer Replacement mall crawlers driven by the clueless.

I get 100% wave returns from older Jeeps.

Then there was this time with my wife in the car, she wasn't to happy about all the ladies waving at me! Had to explain: it's a Jeep thing!

Had a guy in a reasonably well maintained, stock later model TJ actually stare me dead in the eye as I waved to him, turn his head and then shake it like it was a shame.

Too bad that nice little TJ was being driven by such a tool. There is no reason to act that bad.

So, to you, unknown TJ DB, this is my gift to you.....

Today I counted which keeper waved. Older jeeps are at 100%. Newer jeeps 5%. Should I properly educate them?

As a new jeeper owning a YJ, I most certainly wave! This was about the first thing I learned about jeeps, aside from that fourbangers are much better!

Here in Wyoming I get waves from the older gen of jeeps. I have to say I have yet to get a wave from a jk they have tops up doors on and that ac and radio blasting away thinking they are better then the older generation of jeeps. A good portion of the jk's here are mall crawlers or soccer moms nothing bad but they need to be educated on the jeep thing.

Please. You just said so yourself, they have their a/c blasting, radio on, doors on, and tops on. What that tells me is these people are totally oblivious to your little waves and the furthest thing from their minds is, "I'm better than him/her because my Jeep's newer than his."

Get a grip.

I was nearly home from work when I realized I wish I had a longer commute. This is a totally new concept.

Have my JK for under 3 months now but still drive "in a spiral" to get home. What I mean by that is that I never take the shortest route.

I havent gotten any waves yet in Vegas, it it is usually the lifted Jeeps that are most likely to wave back as they get it.

Since mine's a '12, I won't wave to anyone in an older jeep than mine. I turned around and pulled a JK over just so I could check his build date last week.

That's not all JKs attitudes. My cousin drove passenger a couple of times and seen me wave, he thought the wave was uncool for lack of a worse word until I initiated a wave on a sharp turn( mine over the steering whee) to a JK Who gave me full arm extended peace sign out the window and my cousin thought it was sooooo sick, as did I. Nothing feels better than a good Jeep wave. Wave on guys

Look at Mickey Thompsons or ProComp. I have had a few sets of ProComp Mud terrain radials on Dewey and they wear well. My MT Baja MT radials are fairly new (last year) and also seem to wearing well...MT's also have Claw tires, which I think are the most aggressive of the MT's. ProComps are cheaper, and like I said, they wear well.

My brother told me that Dick Cepek tires are very soft and don't last time, even though they look killer, and I think he also said that Maxxis tires are really hard to balance - like...don't bother trying. I think that is the one he said...he has some on his Bronco and he doesn't like them.

Nitto tires have some fairly aggressive types. Depends on how aggressive you want to be.

I have a Smitybilt rear double tube bumper that is not too expensive, I do need to put a new one on front...most are expensive for me so I may go with the Smittybilt, and then get a winch too!

Make sure your jack will jack up your Jeep! My mechanic told me that I need to get a better jack because with tires and lift, my stock jack won't work, at least that's what he said, he has a Jeep similar to mine and he said his stock jack doesn't reach anymore.

Enjoy your new Jeep!!! Gotta love 'em!!!

Yeah thanks for help. I might toyo MT on the jeep I had them on my duramax and they did very well not to much road noise but as soon as it hit the mud or snow had so much grip didn't have to worry at all. I'm in a state where there isn't a lot of jeep drivers so I was looking for used stuff to put on it but as I said no jeep drivers. Did you run the double tube back bumper and an amour/ heavy duty front bumper with a winch?

Just got my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Altitude Edition, it is my first Jeep but I noticed you get a lot of waves! I always wave back to be polite and figured this was a fellow wrangler owner wave, similar to the biker 2finger salute when riding.
