Jeep wave should be in a pamphlet that comes with the owners manual! (I'm probably not the first person to write that, but frig if I read this whole thread!)

I've had maybe 10 jeeps wave at me. And I notice every single one every day.
I waved at almost all wranglers when I first got it, but with the lack of return I've since stopped unless they initiate. Only 1 JK has waved, but it was pretty built up.

I was quite suprised when I got near Tahuya last weekend and started seeing more Jeeps the closer I got. Got waved at by JK,s YJ,s TJ,s and even the TOyota,s.

Yes, there are butt heads in every town in every city and state. Just choose to let it run off like water off a ducks back. It may have been a mall crawler and he don't know about our way of life? "I,ll give you a "hey"in his place"

People out her in Southern CA are usually locked in their little bubbles on the highway and don't usually look around. I wave at all Wranglers that I see and any other jeep model that is old and has been modified; or has a pretty woman driving it. But from what I've noticed almost all women driving Wranglers are pretty.

In a tiny town like mine, a Jeepin day means waving at the same people as I did on the last Jeepin day...usually several times. But it's always automatic.
Actually, the wave is responsible for most of the friends I made when I first moved here.
Gotta love it

I borrowed a friends jeep before I got one and I didn't know anything bat the wave. I asked him and he told me about it. I was a little weirded out at first why people were waving at me. Now I feel like a jerk if I miss one haha.

Did you have the rest of the softtop fastened down before you tried hooking up the latches?
I always get the latches hooked up first then move onto the other parts of the install.
Try moving the latches and figure out just how they move and extend in order to get them to work for your Jeep.

This happened to me the first time I converted from hard to soft....

I found if I crouch down on a seat at a time and push really hard, while also leaving the back window not.closed yet, I can get it....

Almost a month on... And I have gone topless a lot (altho freezin my butt off) that it does get a lil easier....

Hope this helps... Ya look silly, but it gets the job.done

I used to get that a lot when forgetting to make sure that the two pins on the sides (above the doors) where pushed in properly in their locations. Hope the explanation was clear enough.

I wave at all jeeps but sometimes i dont recognize compasses and all that stuff as jeeps until its too late.

I wish jeep would stop watering down the brand.

Yeah, watered down is apt: The newly designed Cherokee with be the new Alpha Sud. I was going to buy another Jeep next year & a Cherokee at that, but unfortunately they're(chrysler) is turning it into another soft roader. Looks O.K on the surface but the true 4x4 ability of the new Cherokees will be lost to the ages. At least we'll still have the Wrangler.
If you want a proper luxurious 4x4 dare I say it; you'll have to buy a LR discovery so maybe you should start waving at them now too.

Can't figure this out, I wave almost all the time at other Jeeps. It does not matter what Jeep I drive our 04 TJ or 13 JK. The thing I have noticed is it seems I get more return waves in the TJ than the JK.
