Engine swap

I have been toying around the idea of a v8 swap and I came across this. Does anybody have any expierence/feedback? Thanks....

i bought my complete 4.0 setup from a guy thats dropping the 350 in his yj and keeping the ax15, so it does get done. i don't know if i'd go through it. there's lots of good trans that will not require mods to run behind the v8. lots of good autos and manuals to choose frome

I'd go with a 4BT diesel before I'd go with a V8 but I guess it all depends on what you are looking for, the 4BT has gobs of torque at the low end which is generally where you want it on a jeep, I personally don't want something I need to rev to 5K going over a rock.

an AX15 will work. I'd start looking for an NV3550 is you want to keep the clutch
