| Exhaust jack?
Ok, this isn't a Jeep specific question really, but I've heard a lot of offroaders use these.
My 64 Fairlane's stock jack in basic appearance is similar to the hi-lift jack. In operation, it's a nightmare and it's quite unnerving that the only way the jack can stand is to have weight on it.
So I bought a 2 ton capacity portable floor jack. It gets the job done, but it's about 40 lbs and takes up quite a bit of space in the trunk which is sad considering my trunk is rated at 29 cubic feet. A brand new Crown Vic by comparison is around 21 cubic feet.
A co-worker told me about exhaust jacks. From what I understand, you plug this hose onto your exhaust and it connects to a nylon bag or whatever that inflates thereby raising the vehicle.
Does anyone have any experience with these?

seen them for compressed air if you have oba as well, i dont know if i trust them on the exhuast seems like it would stall the engine once you started lifting the car, but with compresseda ir idk seems like it would work pretty well, i mean you blow up your tires and it raises the vhicle up so it should work

I don't think stalling should be an issue as I have a split tip, which should also help slow the rise rate since my car sits a lot lower than Jeeps do.
The main concerns I have are:
1) Durability
2) Levelness (basically will it jack similar to a normal jack)

The thought of getting one has crossed my mind, but the $200 price tag is a bit prohibitive. It would make lifting a wheel a lot easier for stacking rocks under.
