Feel like a wuss

I bought the LJ in my sig maybe a month ago and have a little hesitation about wheeling it, although I live in a very tame area for that, it seems like it is just too nice to wheel. Granted, i have had nicer vehicles over the years but thats not the point.
I originally wanted to get an older TJ but the wife and I decided we wanted to be able to take trips in one as well, hence a newer LJ.
I have been thinking about sliders but wondering about resale value. Usually don't keep vehicles too long.... kinda apprehensive about drilling on the thing.
And, it may sound dumb, every time I drive it I feel like I am going to break it. Not used to small vehicles I guess.

So, is the shrink in the house?
Oh, I do not have buyers remorse.

sliders won't affect resale value. If you aren't doing any serious offroading, you don't need them.

here's my advice, take it out on the trail, see what it is made of. You won't break it. Jeeps are tanks

I understand your hesitation, it's like when you get a new cell phone or something similar, you're careful to set it down so it doesn't get damaged but once you get that first scratch on it you quit caring as much. I'm sure the first time you decide to take the Jeep off the paved road onto the fun stuff you'll realize how much fun it is and why there are forums like this one. You'll probably end up keeping it a lot longer and it'll turn into a project like they do for most of us on here. Also as far as frame sliders go you can find some that will bolt onto your chasis which don't require any drilling. Happy trails.
03 Rubicon a.k.a "RubiX", 35x12.50 MT MTZ, 4" lift and all the other fun stuff Rubicons come stock with such as front/rear lockers, Dana 44s, T-MAX 9000lb winch, and much more to come.

Gone but not forgotten: 98 TJ; 4.5 lift, 33x12.50 Pro Comp MT, and lots more.

I was told 2 things in another thread, 1: After the first hole, the others are easier, 2: It's not yours til you drill a hole in it.
2.5" RC lift, JKS adjustable track bar, 31" Kenda Klevers, Bestop TrekTop NX, RC quick disconnects

The cost of the sliders, will usually be far less than the damage that can happen to the area they protect. i say try going on some basic trail, if you don't like it, no big deal you still have a great jeep to drive.
