Fender flair cleaning

Maybe I'm dumb and was not aware of this but I want to pass it on so no one else does it.
Power washed my 05 rubicon
DO NOT get close to the stock plastic wheel flairs it will take off a protective clear coating that is on them just noticed today where it did.
Just passing on what I screwed up
Happy trailing

i have had a simillar problem but i guess its just an overtime thing for me if your fenders wear down and they start looking real grey armor all will fix it right up u cant use too much and they last for a long time and look great. Or layers of mud is another option
