Bushwacker was the first to market with that design. That's about the only difference I know of.

Don't go plastic!

I would not go plastic and I personally hate the look of the Bushwackers. I like the narrower steel or aluminum ones. I never get hassled for them in California.

I have the Warrior steels ones on my 2008 JK and on my new one I am currently building I have the aluminum Poison Spyders.
