Few powder coating questions

I might look at getting a Poison Spyder bumper with the trail stinger. Can someone tell me were the best place to take something like this to get powder coated, not interested in doing it myself.

Also, what is generally the cost of having this done?

Not sure if I want to go through all of this just for a bumper, might even look into a Mickey Thompson with a stinger.

Internet search shows a bumper could range from $100-$200 depending on the amount of cleaning/conditioning needed. Do a quick search of your own and you will probably find several companies (small and not so small) that do this sort of work and are willing to do one off jobs. There are at least 18 within 60 miles of my house and one is within 3 miles (did not know it was there).
The main reason to powder coat is rust prevention. Powder coat is very tough and resists scratches and chips that lead to rust formation.

Look for a reputable powdercoating business in your area. I took my bumpers to a place that does nothing but powdercoating and has a stellar reputation. If I remember right, it was close to $400 to have both the front and rear PS bumpers done. It took about a month to get them done...not a problem since the Jeep had not been delivered yet.

Price can definitely vary from shop to shop and you may not get what you pay for.

I'm a metal fabricator and had one part powder coated. I paid one shop $300 for a really poor job and found a great shop the next time - $75 to paint the same part and it was perfect.

Also, ask to look at samples of colors and textures. There are many to choose from. You may find something different that you like.
