Finally going

So, after having my jeep a year I am finally going to pop her and my cherry and take her off roading to Hungry Valley tomorrow.
Hopefully I am safe and get some sweet pics.

I feel you on the work and school 7 days a week... although for me it's 3 day duty sections and I'm still so new to the area I don't even know where to take it offroading as of yet...

I'm glad my gf loves Jeeps, offroading and motorcycles...

I can't wait to hit the trails...

Lol, I got mine high centered and stuck the first day I had it ;-). My kids loved it an I got them all in the "way back" until I got some traction on the rear wheels and was able to pull it back off one of those mounds of dirt meant to keep you out of an area. A little more speed dis the trick and we got right over it no problem.

The wife was mad that I got a day-old jeep stuck and muddy, but what on earth dis she think I was buying a wrangler for anyway??? Well, she's an ex-wife now and still jealous of my jeep ;-)

Take pics. I feel your pain. My issue is that the local offroading scene is scarce at best.

Unless you include illegal ventures, which I'm too old for.

Well I am back safe...lol. For my first time off roading I had a last and camped out for the night. When I got there I couldn't disconnect my sway bar because my socket wrench broke...So i was pissed about that and had no flex. But, all things considered for my first time out I had a lot of fun, learned that capabilities of Jeep, didn't break anything on her.

I got stuck on the stair climber and it took me 10 min to get off because I had no traction and the sway bar bolts were seized and broke my socket wrench..so no flew either....but eventually I got her off

Did you make the trip by yourself? I only will do a short "bunny slope" run if I am by myself. How did your dog handle the off-roading? My Austriallian Sheppard just rests his head on the center console from the back and enjoys the ride. Looks like a good time and glad you made it back safe and sound.

I was by myself. Not the safest thing but I did only green trails and a few obstacles like the stair climber. My dog loved it...he just laid on his blanket in the back. When I got stuck on the stair climber I took him out of the jeep and made him stay far away incase i tipped trying to come off....
your from Long beach? I live in Torrance

I really need to get my anti sway bar bolts un-seized and make some home made quick disconnects...I wouldn't have gotten stuck if my front wheel was on the ground

Careful when making the home made disconnects. I did that with my JKU and the bolt I put in pulled the whole busing out... now the connect is just one giant hole... I now drive with the sway bar disconnected all the time, because I have to. I plan on buying some legit disconnects off the web as soon as I can afford them.
