Flywheel?? real mech Knowledge needed

So, I put a new clutch in my jeep.... I did it on a sunday, so their wasn't any machine shop open to shave my flywheel....

So bascily I said F-it, put the new clutch in...

I'm getting some chatter when I ride the clutch, I'm guessing its because I didnt shave the flywheel:chair:

Now will this wear in? or will it always be like this? Or could it be the fact that i also put a "sachs" stage II clutch in?

Thanks,
Neil

Nope. Its just going to get WORSE. There IS another possibility why its shuddering. Did you get any oil on the friction surface?? How much grease did you put on the splines?? Too much there and it will fling off and also cause a shudder. Bottom line, either way, your gonna have to do it again. Sorry.

So..... If i where to go to a tranny shop, ask them to drop it out a re-surface or replace the flywheel, would their be any problems putting the same clutch back in?
