Fog Light Repair

I've got a 2001 Wrangler and the fog lights won't turn on.

I've searched on line and mostly found posts about fog lights not turning off.

Anyone have a good resource?

check fuse.

check switch. (the multifunction switch goes out quite commonly)

Do you know of any good resources that have instructions?

I'm a newbie when it comes to self repair.

That I do not know. mine somehow hasn't died yet.

maybe we can get some others in this thread...many people have had this issue.

Many end up just buying an aftermarket switch and mounting it elsewhere...as the OEM is apparently a flawed design that fails often for some. (not to mention its a pricey switch).

#1.. make sure that your head lights are not on bright as the relay (that you need to check also) will keep them from turning on. Then #2.. like I said check the relay as it is normally closed until the high beams are turned on then it goes to open and the fogs turn off.

Check out this post for more info.

Ok, dumb question... it says to bend the no 2 pin. How far? Up? Down? If bent too far, I can't see how it will fit back...

I checked the lamp itself... the bulb looks fine.
