Folding back my supertop

Hey all,

I have a Supertop by Bestop, and I've been looking around for instructional videos on how to fold it back, can anybody point me in the right direction? It's a nice day out, and I figure maybe I'll get ready for spring!

Same principal bud.

Take out windows.
Unclip the windshield claps
Unclip the rear corners and fold on top
grab front of top and fold back.
you have to mess with "tucking" the material to get it to lay flat.

I makes me wonder if my top is made to fold back. I don't have the windshield retainers, and I don't have any clips in the back. My top essentially looks like the supertop by bestop, sans clips (and it buttons to the bow.)

I want to say this without it sounding rude or condescending. Because I know they're confusing, and I truly do appreciate your support. So here goes:

Stop thinking so much*. Turn your brain off. Go play with your Jeep top. You won't hurt it.

- Take out back window and side windows.
- Disconnect the windshield header.
- Undo the plastic "canards" or "tabs" that hold the top unto the body.
- Fold the top back.

There are tricks and techniques to folding it neatly. But they're not strictly necessary, and you can figure them out yourself with some experimentation.

You can read this (last page) for some official instructions.

*I did this years ago. It gets easier.

Thanks Geoff. I was just wondering if there was a Youtube out there already. I like to plan, and I'm a visual learner, but you're right, there's nothing to hurt. Getting ready to go scrunch the top down into the back.

Got it. Looks messy, but it works, and sure beats taking the whole thing off (which is what I was doing prior to rolling with the bar.) I think I like the looks of those Sunriders, or the Trektops. I might consider investing in one of them this summer.

In terms of doing a halftop, I have what looks like a bikini top that toungs into the windshield, and then ties to the center of the rollbar? I also have a tonneau (sp?) cover that covers up my bestop extendatrunk, and I really like the look at that. My door surrounds look different from what the installation ones look like via PDF installation instructions. Maybe I should just sell all this stuff off and get the Sunrider?

Just rambling now, what meant to come out was "thanks!"
