roofboy130 is on a distinguished road
for the people who know

01 jeep with 2.5 sspd got 35s on it and 4 and 5th gear are very very sluggish if i dropped to 33s would this solve my problem?

It'll certainly help, but regear and bigger motor will help more...

I have the same issue but mine is a 92 YJ. I had 35's on it and went to 33's. it helped a little. Nothing drastic. Re-gearing made a big difference.

thanks that helps the stock gearing is in there now i believe 411 new gears it is, did your mpgs suffer?

4.88 and 33's would probably feel a lot better with that 2.5...

35s on stock gearing is horrible for highway driving even with a 4.0. 4.88s with 35s is good. 4.88 with 33s is better. 33s on stock gearing is still going to be "sluggish"
