What's the black plastic hinge next to the nut? What is it for?

It's to stabilize the the front panels when you run without the back portion of the top, a la "bikini mode". I've run like this a few times without doors. It looked a bit odd, but it worked.

A little tip, use the hand bolts if you run like this as they are the main mechanism of securing the back of the panels.
