Frost on soft windows?

The jeep I just got has soft upper doors. How is the best way to remove frost in the morning without ruining the windows? I would perfer not to let the jeep run for 30 min until it melts off. I'm starting to miss the slider on my last jeep.

Thanks,
Nick

It shouldn't take 30 minutes for it to melt off. My TJ reaches temp in 5 min or less.... Warm it up with the defroster on high and they should melt off in no time....

X2 or you could throw a cover or tarp on it at night.

Ice scraper and de-icing fluid.

Julie, would your trail cover fit over the soft top if it's up? If so that might be an option.

Pretty sure the Mopar Jeep cover (?) fits over the soft top. The Bestop Trail cover does not....

It was a good question, I think it's JD that has both and can say for sure... I didn't know until very recently that there was one that fit over the soft top.... It's a good thing to know. Had I bought mine myself, I'd have gotten the one that fits over the top..........

The trail cover only fits with the top off.
The cab cover fits both with or without the top. If I have to leave blue out in the winter, I use the cab cover to protect him from frost and more importantly to protect my top from birds and squirrels.

Old pics of Blue when he still had jugs and before he got his braces removed My baby is so grown up. I can't wait till he gets taller.

Cab cover with top up:

^^^^I really like the dark blue^^^^

When I was shopping for a Jeep, I really wanted a dark blue one, but couldn't find any in the area with the combo that I wanted (auto/4.0L/hardtop). So I had to settle on a silver one. I like the blue much better. Silver was never one of my favorites, but my Jeep is here to stay. Maybe a freak hail storm will happen when she's out of her garage and insurance will pay for a new, Atomic Orange (Corvette Z06) paint job on her.......

That would definitely be cool. I love my midnight blue, but I have to say that next to black it is absolutely the worst for showing scratches, dings and bug juice. I'm totally cool with mud, I just don't like seeing all the damage on a daily basis. Since my first trail he has never looked "new" again.

I drive with the windows down until it melts. Yes it sucks, but at least I'm not putting any scratches and won't be any later to work than I already am. Usually I can put up the drivers side by the time I get to my first red light in 15 minutes.

Full doors are the way to go. Just as easy to remove as half doors and easier at the toll booth! (I don't remember the last time my Jeep actually went through a toll booth.....)

Yep. Probably the best mod I've yet done to my Jeep. She sleeps happily in it every night.
