Fuel Line?

My check engine light keeps coming on, and the code I pulled from it read P0442. This must mean my fuel line is cracked or broken since my gas cap is fine, and I have reset the battery twice in a week, and the light keeps coming back on. My question is, where is/where does the fuel line run so I can check to see if it is cracked?

Those are fun ones to find. It could be a crack in your filler neck or vent tube, the seal around the fuel pump assembly, the line from the fuel pump assembly to the frame rail line, then from there forward its steel.

Mine ended up being the seal where the pump assembly goes into the tank. I over filled the tank one day and it came out the top!!!

Good luck on your search!

Did you have the fuel cap pressure tested?
If not I'd look at that first, then look at other possibilities if it passes.

I was thinking of getting a locking gas cap anyway, so maybe I'll order it and if that doesn't fix the problem, I will continue looking into it. Thanks for the replies all
