Anyone heard of G2? Know anything about them? Foreign or US? Good or stay away?
Thanks all!

All I know is that 4WP pushes them, so that raises a red flag.

I know. Story: The 4wp store moved and sent me a grand opening coupon for 1/2 off labor. I've been trying to get this job prioritized and completed for awhile, so I convinced the wife to let me get it done.
I'm good with ordering other parts and told the guy I'd research it and call him (he's ordering R&P and kits on Monday) but he SAYS that they are American and good stuff.
I can't find too much about the company searching (at least so far) yeah, I know, another bad sign.
Essentially, I ain't buying Chinese parts. They cannot make steel over there and screw em anyway.
So, anyone got anything?

here is what I found: Quote: |
G2 is Genuine Gear's newest product extension from its famous gear line. Now the company will be offering axles under the G2 name as well, made from chromoly material and premium carbon steel. The G2 product line is said to fit easier and smoother and run quieter than anything else. Information: Genuine Gear,

Thanks!

I'm running G2 gears in my rig right now. We've been using them for awhile in most everything we do. They do setup great and run quiet.

Thanks Jack.
I'm dropping the jeep on Monday. I'm just going to check the R&P out when I do.
I cannot find anything or anyone complaining about them, so I'll probably have them installed.

Just an update for anyone interested:
So, the 4wp guy ordered the wrong parts. I stopped by Saturday before my Monday appt to check up on the status and take a look at the gears. Well, he hands me a R&P for a D35. Told him, wrong stuff. He says: "oh, I just grabbed the wrong box". So, I come home.
10 minutes later, they call and tell me they have the wrong R&P. Tells me that they'll eat the extra cost for the right ones (about 40 bucks a set) and get them overnighted and do it on Tuesday instead.
Monday, no calls. So I call them about 4:00. "The parts got ordered by someone else by the time I got to it".
Ok, then I want Superior R&P. Here's the part number...
Got them to order them and I paid the difference between the Superior set and the "more expensive" G2's he was supposed to get me.
They are in. Sound's as quiet as stock and I got the job done for $1250.00 with a 3 year full parts and labor warranty.
I know, it was a PITA to work with them, but I have the gear job done (FINALLY) and I think I have good stuff in there that will last and if anything about the job is wrong, I can get 4wp to fix it.
I haven't found any complaints about Superior R&P sets and everyone loves their axles etc, so hopefully this is a very long term solution.
I will get my speedo re-calibrated next week (tone ring in my tranny) and then I'll be able to tell exactly the difference between the 4.11's and the new 4.56's.
