Gasping?

My jeep went mudding with me a little ago and I came back from a vacation and it just seems like it's sucking for air. Like it the noise that it is making is one in which when I accelerate it's like not whistling but gasping for air... Does anyone know what it may be? I did get sorta in some deep water while mudding and I was wondering if that may have caused it.

What have you looked at so far? Anything in the air box? Pulled the dipsticks?
