Gear Shift Nobs?

I just got a Pineapple Grenade BomNob. After I got it, I was worried that I wouldn't like it. What are your opinions on this? Would you like have a grenade as a shifter or would it just be annoying?

personally I wouldn't like a grenade shifter but many people do. I have the rocknob on mine and I love it. It just adds a little "you" into your jeep.

Plus it's not what we like, it's what you like.

I looked at them, but it seemed like they wouldn't fit my hand that well. I ended up getting one of these:
Punchey Skull Shift Knob

His little bald head works well.

Yeah i was thinking of getting a rocknob instead because it would fit in my palm better and wouldn't be so awkward...

I got a 8 ball shift nob from Pep Boys for 8$. It's smaller than the stock one and fits in my hand better, and looks cool.

I had a baseball type grenade on mine at first but too big and uncomfortable. Now I have the pinapple style grenade on it. Much nicer to shift.
Either grenade was in the way on the 4WD drive shifter.

Any tips on removing the stock shifter knob to replace it with a threaded turned-wood piece?

I mounted my Pinapple sideways, it's much more comforable to shift with this way.

My girl got me the pineapple grenade for Valentine's day and I'm putting it in tomorrow... can't wait... It'll be sideways (like Matcheen) and I bet it will be better than the stock as the stock is too small for my hands...

I ended up getting a monster knob. Its 2 1/4" across and fits my palm like a glove. Much easier than the stock shifter that is hard to even get ahold of.

i think the grenade looks cool.

i was actually thinking of making a custom knob for mine. i have an idea for using the base of a moose, or elk antler.
