Gearing change D30/D44 3:73-4:56

I'm currently running 3.73's in my D30 and D44. I'd like to upgrade in the future, but I've read somewhere that in order to run 4:56's I'd have to change the carrier in one of them, if not both of them, I can't remember which.

Here's the question, my D44 has a TracLoc differential in it. Will that have to be replaced to run 4:56? I know the D30 won't be that big of an issue since it's not a TracLoc.

'02 4.0 5sp

Thanks

R&P swaps won't drive a change to the diff internals whether it's a locker or a LSD.

The front may need a new carrier.
