this might be a stupid question but i want to make sure. i have a tj that has a d35 rear end i just baught a d44 from a junk yard with 4.10 gears . Im not sure what i have in the front for gears but if there not 4.10's i will have to change them so they match right ?? please let me know i heard udo and i also heard u dont thanks guys.

absolutely have to have the gears matched, unless you never plan on using 4wd again.

What is the gear ratio in the D35? Thats what should be in the front D30 axle. To find out you can look at the tag on the rear diff. It is on the left sid of the diff cover held on by two of the cover bolts. The tag should say 3.07's, 3.73's,etc.
