Genius solution to crap stock speaker replacement!

Ok so all i had in my 94 was the stock speakers and they were complete crap. I'm buying new speakers but right now I don't have the money for it. So I thought of a temporary solution!

I found some sony speakers from an old 6 disk cd player that we had and didn't use anymore, so i thought... hmm wonder if i could hook those up to my jeep?!

Took em outside and disconnected the stock speakers, hooked up one of the new ones, and BAM!!! IT WORKED! I was worried about them getting stolen, so i found some L brackets in my dads workshop and screwed one side to the speaker, and the other side through the wheel well. SOLID! They're not 100% safe but if someone wants to work that hard to steal them... they're pretty pathetic.

Here's a pic of what it looks like!

Let me know what you think!!

Yeah i was just thinking about that. I have a bikini top but it won't cover those. I'll probably just make some makeshift covers for that that prevent them from getting wet in the summer when it doesnt rain much so i don't have to put my top on everytime it rains.

and thanks man i was proud of myself

I've though about it but I don't have the money for it. And the speakers are too high for it so I'm not sure if that would work if the part for the backseat didn't have any breathing room.

As long as you're not blasting them they sound 10x better then stock. And it's only a temporary solution until I can get real speakers guy so calm down

This reminds me of my senior year in high school, the school put on a stereo competition, and one kid literally wired up six speakers to a HOUSE stereo and put them in his trunk. didnt win of course, but it was hilarious.
