Good jeep

I'm selling my 1 ton dodge diesel to get a jeep I'd like one that's a daily driver but also good trail rig no rock crawling or any of that
Is a tj better than a jk Is a rubicon jk a good substitute for a built tj
With the same aftermarket biuld

Hat all depends on who you ask. Some guys love tjs some love jks, some even like yjs . Find one that appeals to you aesthetically and also appeals to your wallet. What I will say is often when you get an already built jeep, you are more then likely inheriting someone else's problem. Get a jeep and build it as you go, this way you can do it to your liking.

Rubicon TJ or JK adds front and rear lockers, suspension, etc.
You're kind of opening a can of worms. Those who own a JK are going to say JK, those who own a TJ will say TJ, but all in all - It's more about the driver.

Bear in mind BOTH are extremely modable, and one is not just "better". You can build either to do anything you want.

You can't go wrong with a good YJ.

Look at all the different models & years then make your decision. My TJ had some good points but so does my JK now. They all have their up's & down sides.

What r the ups and downs of the tj VS jk
I like the inline 6 of the tj and I'm assuming the tj is more user friendly with less electeonics and emissions
Does the JK have any thing I can't get aftermarket for a TJ
I want a rubicon for the six speed transmission but its about 8000 more for a used rubicon VS a normal wrangler of same condition

I was also wondering about the unlimited 2 door what would be the drawbacks VS the standard size or pros

If you are buying it for a daily driver with great capability get a JK. If I had the money to have both a jeep and a DD, I would've bought a TJ or YJ and modded it like crazy for crawling. The TJ or YJ are fun but rougher rides even in stock trim, but I personally would be fine with a dent here and there if it wasn't my only street legal vehicle.

More space in the back for gear or groceries, I believe it has a slightly longer wheelbase which makes for a little wider turns on the trails.

2 door unlimited (LJ) gives more room in the back. Drawbacks of the longer wheelbase may come into play while offroading. Aftermarket parts can be a little harder to come by (seems some with LJs have trouble finding tops, etc).
If I had it all to do over again tho....I'd do a 2006 Rubicon Unlimited(LJ) in a second.

Differences between a TJ and JK...heres the can of worms. TJ's interior and exterior are a little more simple. Some like it. Some don't. Me...I like it, but can't argue that the JK's inside is nice and has more creature comforts. I believe JK's offer a little more stock clearance as well, but don't quote me on that. I'm not so sure that a TJ's ride is worse than a JK's...I've never noticed a difference in ride comfort.

Rubicon doesn't effect you getting a 6 speed. Thats just 2005+. Rubicon is giving you lockers, suspensions, wheels, rocker guards, etc. Keep in mind if you want to add lockers yourself later, your looking at $2 - $3k.

Personally the 04-06 TJ unlimited rubicons are some of the best jeeps ever made. the 4:1 4wd low in the t-case is almost alone worth the extra cost. along with getting dana 44s with lockers from the factory.

Thanks for all the good replies I'm probably getting a 06 unlimited I like the extra room and the rubicon option seems a good deal $ wise
