Good price for tj Sahara?

I'm looking at getting my first jeep. Right now I found a 2000 tj Sahara. It's a 4l, 5 speed with upgraded stereo, speakers, intake, and exhaust. Only 84k miles for $8190. But since its in ohio it's probably a bit rusty underneath. So should is it a good price to buy or keep looking?

Thanks.

Funny, I just saw that listed on CL tonight. Anyway, with that low of miles it could be a good deal "if it was taken care of." Have a trusted mechanic check it out. I paid about the same price for my 04 Sahara with 144K miles on it (but it's in fantastic shape with a bunch of goodies). I bet you could pick that up one for around $7500-$7800 which would be a good deal if it's been taken care of. Do you know what to look for?

Definitely looking for the Dana 44 rear axle since I plan on lifting and bigger tires. Make sure the tops in decent condition. Also just rust all around. I'm bringing my dad who's a very expirenced mechanic. But other than that what else should I look for?

Yeah, I'm glad I waited and got the D44 as well. Have your old man go over the basic things. Look all over it for rust...floor boards (lift the carpet) and frame near the rear wheel well is very prone to rotting. Look for leaks. If possible, I'd go to the persons house and ask him/her if you can start it up when it's cold. Sometimes just listening to the sound it makes when it's running can tell you a lot. Definitely get it on the freeway and make sure it accelerates smoothly and has no vibrations. AND ASK FOR ALL RECEIPTS FOR ANY WORK DONE ON IT. If he doesn't have them, I'd be very leary.
