got my winch mounted today-Pics added

finally got a chance to mount my new to me winch. It came with a winch plate when i bought it but it was not a jeep plate so rather than spending $200 for the warn plate i took the plate it came with to my local welder and had him cut it and weld it on my bumper. All i had to do was drill out the mounting holes and bolt the winch to the bumper/plate. I decided it was a good time to go ahead and replace all the bumper bolts with grade 8 bolts.

gave $500 for the winch, cable, remote, and winch plate. I had to buy a roller fairlead on ebay for $50 and then it cost me $30 to get it cut and welded. I was not really shopping for a winch i just kind of stumbled accross it and could not pass it up. As soon as it stops raining i am going to put a coat or two of flat black paint on it and it will look a little better.

I might suggest to get some cable other than that pretty awesome winch

Haha good suggestion, it came with cable i just cant put it on there until my roller fairlead comes in. Might be hard to use the winch without any kind of cable on it.

It rained and rained all day yesterday while i was putting it on. I was thinking "if this was ready to go, i would be stuck right now". Of course it is sunny today.
