got to love older jeep exhausts

I have an 86 jeep comanche with a 2.5. I had one of there ever so popular exhaust leaks I thought I had a good manifold on a spare engine that I had and started to consider working to fix the problem. the old one is horriable and the new one only has one crack as apposed to the four the other one has. my question is does anyone have an older 2.5 from a motor swamp becomeing one with the concrete floor and how much would it take to get you to spend the time to remove it.

if you get it done and your exhaust manifolds in good shape I am going to be using some exhaust putty and exhaust tape as a tempary fix.

I have a whole 2.5 you can have if you want it. Has a bad P/S pump and water pump. Everything else seems to be fine, I just yanked it to drop a small block V8 in.

He is going to try and make it up here either this weekend or next weekend to pick up that 4cyl I think. I live in Columbia, and work in Jessup, so he won't have to drive too far to get it. We have a buddies Bday coming up soon anyway, so this works out good

Penguin, stop ghetto riggin' your stuff and it won't grenade on you You got like 20 other vehicles anyway, stop whining . I know that Comanche is your baby, and has lived through hell and back, but the darn thing was always loud anyway. Who cares if the exhaust is missing from the manifold, it will be ok Did yours go like my old TJs, or did it completely explode? Maybe you can just weld some steel around the cracks and re-seal the manifold

Your coming up this weekend? That's cool, just remember Jess is having all her friends over here to pass out after her 21st bday celebration in Baltimore. Won't be anywhere to crash here this weekend. Next sat/sun is fair game though. Adam's bday is next week aparently, so we are going to do his Bday thing next weekend.

Anyway, if you come up this way this weekend, we can hit up a public range in Westminster and try to melt my new Saiga

Yup Yup. I am actually technically in Ellicott city, but I am on the edge of Columbia. Laurel is maybe 10-15 miles from me. Like I said, I work in Jessup, right between Laurel and Elkridge In fact, my live-in girlfriend lived in Elkridge when she moved up here from southern VA. Coincidentally she lived right near Penguin..

You find somewhere let me know. Everywhere in MD is illegal. I just go play on our family farm in WV a few times a year.
