There are plenty of threads where something "bad" has happened to a jeep, ie. death wobble, bad vibration, carter carb, broke tranny, etc., let's start a thread where we talk about a great experience/day we had with our jeeps. An experience that you could have only had in a jeep (in the front seat ;0).

I'll start....

My 88 is the first jeep I have ever owned and only the second one I had ever ridden in. This spring when I took off the soft top for the first time, it was amazing. I was riding down the road @ 45 mph in the wide open air. Reminded me of running down the lake in a boat. The wind and smell of spring was great. I know now why everyone on WF had been talking about wishing for spring so they could take their tops off.

1st trip to Ocean City/Assataugue Md with the top off the jeep. Cruised one day wearing shorts and a bikini top, pulled up to a little store and the boyfriend said "umm, I cant get out right now." LMAO----bouncy jeeps;)

OC and Assataugue is a good place to have a Jeep too :p I just skipped town and went to OC for 4 days last weekend/week when the weather broke nice for a few days :) Got to leave my doors and top in the hotel too, was real nice being able to smell that salt water in the air again.

I drove three hours to meet the jeep club in little natches and got yelled at for not towing it. :) They all thought I would brake something, CJ owners. Wheeled for nine hours and drove home without a problem, the others I cant say the same for.

Best day had to be yesterday afternoon with my 9 year old son. I decided to pass the torch to him and let him begin his driving experience.... I had more fun watching him trying to reach the pedals and manage the steering wheel. Boy did real good on those old lumber trails.

The look of fright combined with the smile on his face...SIMPLY PRICELESS!.

I know exactly what your boy was going thru moz. I learned how to drive on an 83 CJ-7. I was about 11 when I got to start learning how to work the clutch and pedals on my own. I'll never forget it and I think that was better than my dad teaching me how to throw a baseball. :D

How about a day of wine tasting with your 73 yr old father? Sunny CA day, 76F, top & doors off, running Westside Rd along the Russian River Valley. It was great. The old man hadn't been in a Jeep since he retired from the military and "those didn't have half doors or sport bars."

not really in the Jeep, but you guys reminded my of it

My grandpa had had knee surgery and had had his knee replaced. He could not walk very well and is used to workin almost all day doing projects. he had been off his feet for a month, and now was not really getting back into doing anything, just watching T.V.
So i decided i needed to do an oil change and diif fluid change and put in the new starter. Asked him if he would supervise since i hadn't done it B4, It was the first time he was out of the house doing a project in months, he was so happy after that back to himself, i wouldn't say he smiled, but as close as he ever gets to it he loves my jeep too (55 cj5, but i think my family thinks it's an M38A1 b/c it i spainted that way and has a puch start)
beat time in my jeep was when i finally go it going after not being able to get it to start, then no clutch, and no alternator, and no battery, and leaky radiator, well the first time i used it to haul 4 ft. sections of logs I was pretty happy and i swear i saw the jeep smile after being dormant for 15 yrs.
