| Happy Birthday
Today's Frank's birthday and I'll be ordering him some replacememt parts for his Jeep as his gift. You see, we went to Paragon yesterday and I had more @$$ than brains....I just had to get over that last obsticle......
Frank being the sensable one in this marriage, wasn't with my group to keep an eye on me (1st mistake). He was BBQing the club's lunch, and let me his wheel Jeep (2nd mistake).
I limped into the staging area with front wheel drive and he walked up to greet me. I humblely explained what had happened and not a word of scolding came from him.......then I showed him the folded crease of metel in the door frame (yes, I was a little too close to that tree). He just hugged me & said these things happen. What a great guy!!!! I love happy endings!!! PS
do I still have to get him the alternator, too that I had already promised for his birthday???? |

Hey there Frank, Happy Birthday boss. You got yourself a great gal there. At least she fills up your jeep when she takes it out and works it over.
So Kat, what did you do that you had to limp into camp in FWD? I hear a good story comin? Oh and yeah, you should probably hook him up with the new alternator so that then you can hook him up with the new on board welder and other goodies.

Well happy birthday to Frank. I think it was a good plan to let the wife take the Jeep out and tear it up so you could get brand new stuff. I think I will try that!!!

I was attempting this hill climb... it was ok last year, piece of cake!
the large rock you see is exposed a lot more with the dirt eaten away and ground is rutted (we had rain that morning also).....I had a little trouble getting over it and tried one too many times. I broke the yoke on the diff and univeral joint....got off lucky.
I was just happy to be able to drive it the 2 hrs home
We've been talking, but need to get serious: trailer!

Before Frank just slaps a new yoke and joint in for it he might want to pop the cover on the diff and make sure all is well. If you hit it hard enough to break it there could be pinion or gear damage also.

Hi Guys!! Thanks for all the great birthday wishes. I would have been on the forum earlier but these days I spend every spare moment fixing Kats damage.... It's a full time job ya know! This weekend I'll be opening the diff to look for damage, replace the yoke and U-joints. I like keeping my Jeep as nice as possible so I'll be working on the dent also.
Here is the tree that got her:
Here is the damage:
OUCH!!!! Bad Dent
This is Kat's way of keeping me out of trouble.
Just need to add... She really is the greatest!!!
Thanks again for the birthday wishes.
Frank
