Happy Birthday Jeep. August 1, 1941

Saw the blurb on the U.S. Army Facebook today

"On this day in 1941, PARADE Magazine devoted three pages to what it called "the ‪#‎USArmy‬'s most intriguing new gadget." It was the American public's first introduction to the jeep. It proved to be so valuable in World War II that General Dwight Eisenhower said the U.S. could not have achieved victory without it.
United States Army Fact Files"

- Hope this isn't a repost -

I too share this great day with a legend. Plus just got my Jeep TJ inspected.

My inspector said" I know there is an exhaust leak on it somewhere. I can't find it but it sounds like there is one"
My reply "It passed tho right? If you can't find it(the leak) it still passes?"
"Yes. Maybe next year."
