Im currently running a hardtop (when I need to. Yay topless) anyway I kinda like the look of a soft top and I feel like I would like it a lot more. What do you guys prefer?
I've never had a hard top, and have only owned my jeep like 3 weeks now. I think the soft can be a pita, but I do like the look better. In fact, took the top completely down for the first time tonight and will go to work top down tomorrow. We'll see
No, but I want to! I bet that's awesome. Baby steps for me posed to rain Thursday anyway, so top goes back up. Maybe I'll try doors this weekend. Looks easy enough.
Hard top all the way. Much better security and you can add a lift to your garage ceiling and remove/install it by yourself. Plus, it's easy to remove the Freedom Top panels if all you want is a bit of fresh air and sunshine without removing the whole top.
Wife originally wanted a soft top but when she discovered the Freedom Tops she switched to the hard top. I'm glad she did.
Well I have a yj with a one peice hard top and doors that dont lock so security isnt a big thing. I hate my top because its loud, rattles, and super heavy which I feel kills my gas mileage even more than before.
Unfortunately, I cant answer that question yet. I have a hard top and soft top but just purchased my jeep at the end of last summer. So I left the hard top on and will be swapping once the weather is abit more warmer up here.
I think the hard top looks so much better on the four door. I love mine. I haven't taken the hard top off yet. ... can't wait. But after six soft tops the quietness is nice. But hey, 7 jeeps. ..what do I know. To each their own.
Had a HT and also a ST on my '94 YJ ran the ST most of the time. Purchased my '04 TJ with a ST in '04. Christmas of '11, asked the wife which top she wanted on her Jeep...ST no regrets...no leaks!!!
Have had both.prefer hardtop.they are not heavy now.you can hang them from your garage ceiling joist with drings and rope to remove by yourself. its hardtop or no top and no doors for me.
In snowy winter it is good to have the hard-top. The rear fold up window is really nice. The visibility is worse though. It's also nice to be able to go through a car wash.
I like the soft top better in good weather. I almost never put the top down, but love taking all the windows and doors off. Then your not frying in the sun. Mine is pretty hard to get latched back up by myself when it is down too.
