Has anyone seen this Jeep??

Hey guys, I am sorry to inform you all that I made a mistake and traded off my beloved 00' TJ last winter. I traded it in Columbia, IL at Royal Gate Dodge. I was just wondering if anyone had any leads as to where it may be. I know it's a long shot, but I'm trying to avoid paying to run the VIN(if I can find it) to find the current owners name. Thank you Everyone.

You would have to do a DMV run, names don't just show up in the CarFax directory.

Why don't you have the dealer contact the person they sold it to. Ask the dealer to have the owner call or email you. That way there are no privacy issues they are violating.

That's not a bad idea. I guess I was just hopeful whoever bought it was on here or knew someone that was.

I agree ,,, it's a good looking jeep but why not move on with a different one. I think half the fun of Jeep ownership is doing different mods to make it unique to you. If you built that one to look that nice, I'd be willing to bet your next one would be pretty killer !!! My .02 cents worth.....

Do y'all pay property tax in IL? If so, does your county or surrounding counties have a website to look at property tax notices via VIN number? Needle in the haystack idea. Good luck!

So, after nearly 4 1/2 years you still haven't found where it went? I think I would have paid the fee for a VIN search by now if I was still looking. You said you would almost pay a finders fee. Apply that toward the VIN search.
