Have you ever had a tire blow out in your Jeep?

I was on the highway doing 80 (not smart) and it felt so liberating.

Then I freaked out. My Jeep is on the 35' tires with a 4' lift.
I'm high off the ground. If my tires blow out, will my Jeep and me roll?

Have any on you had a blow out in your Jeep. If so, what happened and how big were your tires?

Haven't had a blow out in my Jeep, but I did have a tire separate on me in my Geo Tracker. It did have 30" tires... it wasn't horrible I just slowed down and went to the right side of the freeway.

DON'T Jerk the wheel or slam on the brakes, just guide over to the side as you slow down by just removing your foot from the gas pedal, if you do touch the brakes make it easy and gentle. My daughter borrowed my sons TJ, 4" of lift and 32's, the back rear wheel came off at around 35mph and passed her, the drivers side rear dropped and she pulled over. We found that someone had loosened all the lug nuts on his jeep, then we checked the rest of them two more TJ's and my XJ, ALL the lugs had been loosened on ALL the jeeps. We called the state police, we don't have local cops here, and reported it. Talking with neighbors some others had the same thing happen, we finally figured out who, two brothers, but could not prove it. Then it happened again on her TJ, front drivers side. Called the cops again and reported it, the said there was nothing they could do without proof, so I said fine, will two bodies with a lug wrench between them be proof enough and that I considered loosening lug nuts attempted murder. They picked them up the next day on some other charge and put them both away in a youth detention for 9 months. No more loosened lugs in the development which convinced everyone. When they came back we put a neighborhood watch on their house, the family moved after that.
BTW, when the front tire came off at 55mph on the TJ it did not flip or do any other damage but to flatten the rotor, dam near half way to the lugs as it slid along the concrete.

Had to swerve into a gravel median once and picked up a 3" long by 1/4" thick spike of some sort. Don't know what it was used for but it was big enough that it wouldn't stay in the hole it made, tire speed threw it up into the wheel well with a bang and the tire was flat in about 2 seconds. I just lifted and slowed to a stop from about 50mph. Found the spike to keep as a trophy for the 150.00 tire it made me buy.

I blew one out on the passenger rear one morning at about 4:30 a.m. on my way to the deer stand. It was the 31x10.5x15 ATs that were on it when I bought it. No biggy other than putting me on my stand well after daylight.

Even through that whole deal with my wheel flying off at 65, keeping my cool and not totaling my jeep, having the balls to take a picture, and spending 50 bucks to get back on the road, at least it breathes creation. As it never fails... 20 minutes after posting the picture for the first time I had a PM asking me how I installed those blinkers in my hood.
