Head is spinning

At the time of this post I've owned my first Wrangler ('13 Sahara Unlimited) for a total of 6 days with approx 85 miles on the odometer.

I'm a new member to the forum but have been researching for a few months in preparation for mod-fever (it didn't take long to set in).

Looking for some experienced input on my first mods ...

1. Swap 18" Sahara OEM wheels for 17" Pro Comp 7105s
2. Swap OEM 255/70/18 tires for 285/70/17 (brand/model still TBD)
3. Add 1.5" Tereflex Performance leveling kit

There are a few other items like a summer top etc but the items above are the "big ticket".

Question: Can I do the tires/wheels without the leveling kit? I think I can have it all within a few months but would like to get the OEM wheels/tires off with low miles to maximize resale value (anyone looking :-)

There's a wealth of knowledge in this (and other) forums but figured I just needed to ask specific advice at this point.

Specs: 2013 Unlimited Sahara (white w/black hardtop), auto trans, 3.73 rear axle, 18" "sparkle" allow wheels (OEM), 285/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler AT

Congrats on the new ride! There's nothing else like a Wrangler. As for your new wheels, yes they will fit without the leveling kit. You may or may not need some 1.5" spacers to prevent rubbing at full turn. Some people have no issues, others like myself rub.
