Header Bars

I got a Bikini-top for free today. I am wondering if the header bar from my soft top can be used with it. Its a Best Top and my soft top is factory. My soft top is trash because my zippers are worn and I got mad and took a knife to it the other day because I could not get my back window out.

I am probably going to order a Viking top later this summer to replace my soft top.

Just getting to work is an adventure.

After looking at Bestops site it looks like no. I guess I'll have to buy one. The Viking top requires a new one anyway. I hope Viking start production again before it starts rainy season.

Thanks for the help, you stop looking now.

Did you try it anyway. My first header was no name. Got another header with the Bestop Supertop. Exact same header. All the write ups said I would need a bestop header if I didn't have a factory softtop. Bestop write up is a little confusing

I just bought a Bestop Safari - Bikini top. There are 2 types of bars: there's the temporary header bar that mounts to your exisiting window frame with a couple of screws. This bar needs to be removed if you want to put back your soft top.

Then there's the permanent mounting bar that drills into the window frame. This bar does not need to be removed when you put the soft top back on.

I bought the permanent mounting bracket...It's one less part to lose when winter rolls around.

It ain't no fun unless you get some of it on you.
