heater making noise

just bought first jeep couple issues....when i turn on heat it cranks but makes loud humming sound?

Does it soundlike something stuck in fan??? if so look for something stuck in there, Mine sounded horrible, ended up needing a new blower motor. Not a hard fix

sounds like a stuck solenoid annoying as hell almost like an annoying alarm clock

My heater won't get very hot. Anybody know why??

Your heater core likely needs to be flushed.

Thermostat stuck? I'm about to check this on mine, after I put in a new water pump yesterday my heat has sucked ass

Once you take out the thermostat to test it boil it in some water and it should spring open to allow fluid to go through it, if it doesn't open properly from that test then a new thermostat is needed. This happened to me on my Honda and replaced the thermostat and everything worked great. Hope this helps, I'm gonna try to take mine out tonight on my jeep.
