Exclamation Help!

Hello Jeepers! I am brand new to this forum and this is my first time posting. I need some opinions! I am about to buy my first Jeep and I am so excited and can't wait! I know it's definitely what I want....However, I thought I made up my mind which one I wanted but now I am torn and reconsidering some things....I found a 2003 SE (TJ) that only has 44k miles! It is beautiful! It has a soft top and half doors....here's the thing, it is a 2.4L 4cyl (automatic). I also found one that I like that is a 4.0 I6 and it's a 2001 with full doors and hard top with a few more options and about 120k miles. I do a lot of driving and whatever I get will be my daily driver. I don't know which way is the better way to go and I want some input on the 4cyl vs. the 4.0 6cyl....whether they are more fuel efficient, if they are ok on the highway, etc. Any and all opinions are welcome and appreciated (please be kind)!

Well honestly id avoid 00-02 with the I6.. they have a known problem with the cylinder head cracking.. some people might say "it hasn't happened to me" etc.. but why chance it? I've helped several people on this forum identify they had a cracked head, so it definitely happens... however at the same time I wouldn't want a 2.4 myself but thats up to you.. im sure someone else will chime in.

I have an 04 Rubi, it has the 4.0 I6. IMHO stay away from the 2.4 4cyl. they just don't have the power.

Talking ...Here we have it!

Ok, I changed my mind completely and fell in love with this one! It's totally stock, yes but that means and I can start from the beginning and customize it how I want to. My first Jeep! Yay!

2004 Rubicon Black on Black with both hard and soft tops, 4.0 I6 auto, 116k miles $12,000.

4cyl vs 6cyl is a constant debate...

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/love...er-128530.html

Neither gets great mileage, and some 4s actually have more power than the 6s that have been abused or neglected.

Keep cruising through the forum doing your research, this is a great place to view all of the different variations of Wranglers. It all depends on what you plan for the future as to which type suits you best.
