Help!!

I'm having an issue with my 94 yj! It only happens when I am driving at a steady high speed (50-75), pretty much what happens is all of a sudden it will feel like I let off that gas for a second then get back on it. It will slow down for a second then go back to normal. Last night I was driving at about 55 and it did it a few times in a row and I heard some knocking or ticking from what seemed like right under my feet... But then it went back to normal... Any ideas on what this could be? Usually causes the check engine light to come on too... Help Pleasee

try reading the codes and that will help point you in the right direction

if the check engine light came on a code was stored in the ECM
to read them:

With the ignition off, switch the key on, off, on, off, on.
Make sure you don't actually start your Jeep, turn the ignition to the ON position, but do not turn it so far that you start cranking the engine.
The check engine light will start to flash, count these flashes. Each code is a two digit number, for example 23 would be FLASH FLASH <pause> FLASH FLASH FLASH <long pause>
