Help needed for class

Trailer Taillight Customer Survey

I hope that you can all take just a couple minutes and help a fellow jeeper out! it would be greatly appreciated.

I am enrolled in an engineering class and this is a survey to help me out with finishing my big project by the end of the semester. If you click on the link, there is a description at the top of the page explaining everything about this survey and why I created it.

*the topic of the survey has to do with trailering*
(in other words, if you don't tow anything, this doesn't really relate to you!)

Thank you very much!

Collin

Wish I could help you out, but I don't trailer any boats.

I'm not sure what your intent is, but you should always unplug the trailer harness before backing it into the water, regardless if you have sealed lights or not. My boat has sealed lamps for now, but due to being 11 years old need replacing, so I bought sealed LED lamps for it, I plan to replace them once I get the boat out of storage. I've never had an issue with trailer lights, and my family has a few boats, jet skis etc....

Thanks everybody for the help!

Some responses that have been left though I would like to address...one person said they would like to see some auxillary lighting or reverse lighting and while I agree that would be nice, it wouldn't be possible on the boat trailer since most of them hook up to the vehicle with the 4-prong trailer wire harness.

Another response said they would like a plug and play adapter, although that would be easy to swap, you would need to already have the adapter plug on the trailer for the tail light housing to plug into.

Thank you for the help so far! I'm up to 11 responses on the survey so far and many people have said LED tail lights so the end product most likely will end up with LEDs...

Thanks,
Collin
