Help: Replacing the AC Clutch

I was told the AC Clutch needs replacing by the dealership. They of course want to charge me $475.

How difficult is this to replace? Any tips or suggestions?

We are buying the Chilton Repair manual - is this handy or a book that will collect dust?

So many options, but none in PINK
