hitch question.

i know that my jeep is only rated at like 2000lbs for trailer weight, but, what bolts should use to install my new hitch. it is a Draw Tite 1-1/4 inch, 3500lb trailer weight, and 300 lb trailer weight.

what grade of bolts should i use to install this?

it has 4 bolts to hold it up.

thanks
nate

Can you email the manufacturer that question? They should know the minimum specs for that or it should be stated in the original paperwork.

I'm a little suprised the hitch didn't come with bolts. I would also think you could go to the dealership and pick up the bolts.

i bought the hitch used off of ebay for 25 bucks. so i have no paper work. and that is a good idea on calling the manufacture.

anyone else have any suggestions?

^ x2. i use grade 8 on almost everything on my jeep. anything that is used to pull or tow you should always use grade 8. i use grade 8 bolts to: mount roll cage to jeep, bumpers, winch, rock sliders, seats, seat belts, etc.
